Pouch of coins in hand, Sofie walked briskly down the streets of diagon alley. She was old enough now not to have to be escorted by her parents everywhere around here, and she liked to shop with her friends usually. Hannah beth, one of Sofie's best friends, was gazing dreamily into Flourish and Blotts at one of the new workers there. "He's just so attractive!" She squealed pressing her face up against the glass and causing the boy she was drooling over to look and give her a confused look.
"Hannah beth if you want him to like you then stop blubbering over him," Sofie laughed, brushing her blonde hair out of her eyes. She sighed and shook her head like a parent watching their child say a boy has cooties. Except of course, Hannah beth was for sure not saying he had cooties. Sofie watched as Hannah beth took a deep breath and smiled, "You're right, I have to go in there and talk to him. Come with me!" Sofie thought about it, "Okay, but you have to do the talking." Hannah beth's brow furrowed and she sighed, "Alright, well you should go off and get your school books while I chat him up. If things go bad though I'll give you he signal to come rescue me." Sofie nodded in agreement and walked into the shop behind her friend (who was, by he way, a third year). Sofie didn't care about age when it came to friends. But now what was she to do, just gather her books and buy them? Hannah beth would probably be talking to the boy for a long time, blabbing on about nothing. [/font][/blockquote]

Heath was in a foul mood. He stormed through the streets dressed in his favorite leather jacket and sunglasses. He had recently gotten a tattoo of a cobra on his left arm and was flexing his muscles now menacingly at little children as they scurried by. He had just found out that his parents had left a lot of money for him when they died and only now since he was sixteen was he able to access it. Why would this put him in a foul mood, you ask? Well, Heath had been working extremely hard at a job for a few years now trying to earn money to take care of himself. He had run away a while ago and was living on his own.
His pockets were full of coins that he had taken from Gringrotts and there was still a large amount of money left in there, probably enough to last him his life. Heath was slightly happy for that but still, he usually was not a happy person at all. He decided to go into Flourish and Blotts to get his schoolbooks for this year. As he walked inside he spotted a blonde girl talking to another girl, the other girl was obviously about to go flirt with that poor innocent store clerk who, Heath presumed, was moderately attractive to the girl. He shook his head and walked swiftly around the store, his dark eyes scanning the books and scaring off anyone who got close to him with his glare. [/blockquote]
